Position Title:
Senior Loan Coordinator

Role Summary:
This role is crucial for maintaining the accuracy of customer and loan data within loan applications and associated product packages. The Senior Loan Coordinator (Sr. LC) collaborates closely with the Relationship Manager (RM) to facilitate new loan requests, renewals, modifications, and other customer inquiries through the Bank's loan origination system. This position primarily handles complex relationships, including loans from specialized lending groups. The Sr. LC serves as the key point of contact among various internal departments such as Compliance, Deposit Operations, Loan Documentation, Loan Servicing, and Post-Closing Review. Additionally, the Sr. LC will cultivate strong relationships with external clients and third-party vendors, and assist in training new Loan Coordinators during their onboarding process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the Bank's credit policies and guide Relationship Managers on any deviations.
  • Act as a resource for Relationship Managers regarding loan operations and processing requests.
  • Serve as a liaison for internal departments throughout the loan process.
  • Independently manage annual renewals, new loan requests, and monthly reporting tasks across all loan types.
  • Ensure timely completion of daily processes while managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end volumes.
  • Input customer and loan data into the Bank's loan origination system with a focus on data integrity.
  • Gather all necessary pre-closing documentation, including flood letters, title work, appraisals, and corporate searches.
  • Communicate with clients as directed by the Relationship Manager to collect data and documents.
  • Review closed loan packages to confirm no unauthorized changes were made to loan documents.
  • Process Change Memos for adjustments made to loan requests post-approval.
  • Assist in recordation and collateral perfection as required.
  • Monitor and help resolve exception items.
  • Provide guidance and training to other Loan Coordinators in support of the Manager or Team Lead.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly monitoring reports for the Unit and RM Team.
  • Assist with processing daily overdrafts as instructed by the Relationship Manager.
  • Compile and coordinate necessary financial information for analysis as needed.
  • Offer backup support for other Loan Coordinators during high-volume periods.
  • Participate in internal committees and task forces as requested.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexibility, commitment, and sound judgment in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other proprietary banking systems.
  • Independent worker capable of meeting tight deadlines with strong organizational skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Consumer and Commercial Loan Coordination is essential.
  • Strong understanding of C&I, CRE, and Consumer lending processes.
  • Prior experience with attorney-prepared documentation is advantageous.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in personal computer operations, including Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with Bankway, Salesforce, and Google Mail.
Certificates and Licenses:
  • No specific certifications required.
Compensation:
Hourly Range: $54.86, based on relevant experience, skills, and competencies.
