VIP Staffing is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Operations Director to lead our manufacturing operations and drive growth. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing production, sales, quality, and safety, ensuring our products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage overall plant operations, production, sales, quality, and safety.
- Develop and implement strategies to meet production goals at minimal cost, drive efficiency, and ensure products are produced with minimal downtime.
- Lead the sales department in setting and exceeding performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and support employee development plans.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure timely delivery of materials at competitive prices, balancing cost, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Establish and enforce quality control standards to deliver products that meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the manufacturing team, fostering a positive and motivated work environment.
- Implement and monitor safety protocols and initiatives to minimize accidents and incidents.
- Collaborate with procurement and sourcing teams to manage relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Oversee all production aspects (scheduling, budgeting, inventory, quality control).
- Implement lean principles and continuous improvement to maximize efficiency and product quality.
- Minimum of 10 years combined leadership experience in manufacturing and sales.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Working knowledge and deep understanding of lean manufacturing principles and sales/marketing strategies.
- Proven ability to bridge the gap between manufacturing and sales to create a seamless customer experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach.
- Ability to manage multiple employees, departments, and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Leadership experience in motivating high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP, and CRM software.
- Must be willing to travel monthly as well as to 2 trade shows per year.
