Job Title: School Nutrition Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented School Nutrition Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of meals to school-age children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of meals, including food preparation, cooking, and serving.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining area.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students and staff.
  • Assist with inventory management and ordering of food and supplies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the School Nutrition Manager.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in food preparation and serving preferred.
  • Ability to lift and carry 10-25 pounds on a regular basis and up to 50 pounds on occasion.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.

Working Conditions:

The School Nutrition Assistant will work in a school kitchen and dining area, which may be noisy and have extreme temperatures. The successful candidate must be able to work in a physically demanding environment and maintain a high level of productivity.
