Inova Health System is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) team. As a NICU RN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to newborns and their families.

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate NICU RN to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience in the NICU and a strong background in pediatric nursing. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing direct patient care, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, and contributing to the development of individualized care plans.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care to newborns and their families in the NICU
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients to identify their unique needs and develop effective care strategies
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and advancements in NICU care
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in the NICU
  • BSN, MSN, or ADN required; ADN candidates must complete BSN within 5 years of hire date
  • RN licensed or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
  • BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to display a caring demeanor towards others
  • Proficient computer skills
