AOI Inspector

As an AOI Inspector at COMTECH TELECOMMUNICATIONS, you will play a crucial role in operating and overseeing AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) and X-Ray machines to ensure accurate detection of defects or abnormalities in printed circuit boards, electronic components, and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate YesTech Automated Optical Inspection and X-Ray machines.
• Examine documents such as Assembly Instruction (AI) and change orders (CO) to verify completeness and accuracy.
• Perform first piece inspection by running populated PCBs through AOI and X-Ray machines and visual inspection.
• Notify appropriate personnel when discrepancies are found.
• Adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and compliance standards to maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience running AOI and X-Ray machines.
• Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and J-STD-001.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across different departments and levels of the organization.
• Ability to work overtime, including weekends, as needed to meet customer needs and on-time delivery.
