Residential Counselor

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Counselor to join our team at The Affiliated Sante Group. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in supporting adults with severe mental challenges in our residential homes in Silver Spring, MD.

• Assist in planning recreational activities to promote socialization and engagement.
• Counsel residents in identifying and resolving social or other problems, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
• Administer medication, implement treatment plans, and perform household duties to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Compile records of daily activities and submit incident reports as needed.
• Supervise group-sponsored trips and social functions, promoting social skills and community integration.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure residents receive necessary medical services.
• Provide administrative support, including answering phone calls and sorting mail.
• Escort residents on trips outside the establishment for shopping or medical services.
• Plan and prepare meals to meet residents' dietary needs.
• Comply with relevant regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and compliant environment.
• Implement resident rehabilitation plans and record relevant data to track progress.

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and a minimum of two (2) years' experience working with adults diagnosed with varying mental health and intellectual disabilities.
• Valid driver's license with less than two (2) points and current automobile insurance.
• Able to obtain DDA medication administration certification.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office software and internet applications.

• An hourly rate range of $20.00-20.50.
