C4A is a 24-bed neonatal intensive care unit specializing in the care of infants with Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD). Our nurse-to-patient ratio is typically 1:1 or 1:2, depending on the acuity and needs of the patient. We are a multidisciplinary Chronic Complex NICU that provides collaborative care to infants, working together with the family to provide the best possible care.
Responsibilities- Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach.
- Assesses individualized patient needs and communicates patient care needs and priorities to assigned Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Assistants (PCAs), Unit Coordinators, and Allied Health personnel.
- Plans, implements, educates, and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices.
- Engages in the workplace community by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.
- BSN degree required.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.
- Current CPR certification required. Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.
Typing on computer constantly, using phone frequently, sitting frequently, standing occasionally, lifting occasionally, walking frequently. Must be able to independently lift up to 35 lbs. Must be able to move or reposition patients of any weight or size with the assistance of another person(s) and/or equipment.
