Illinois State University seeks a results-driven leader to serve as the Director of Athletics. This key position will oversee the operation of our intercollegiate athletics department, ensuring it meets the highest standards of academic excellence, athletic achievement, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and oversight to a team of 130 coaches and staff in developing over 450 student-athletes across 19 varsity programs.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including those related to Title IX, the NCAA, MVC, and MVFC.
  • Foster a positive culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion within the athletics department and university community.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in leadership, fundraising, and personnel management. They will also possess excellent communication and public relations skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

Salary: $220,000 - $260,000, commensurate with experience.
