Welder Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic Welder to join our team at Cedar Point. As a key member of our Ride Maintenance department, you will be responsible for assisting in the repair of rides and attractions, performing welding operations as required, fabricating parts, and working with various tools and equipment.

• Weld items according to specified layouts and blueprints
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, work orders, and welding procedures
• Operate welding equipment and machines as required
• Prepare parts for repair and fabrication
• Work at heights, including aerial lifts, crane baskets, and catwalks
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and inspections
• Ensure a clean and safe work area

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Membership in the Laborers Union
• Effective communication skills and record-keeping abilities
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Experience with electronic, electrical, and mechanical work
• Mechanical aptitude and hand tool skills
• Ability to follow manufacturer's manuals and blueprints
• Flexibility to work various shifts and days, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Pass a mandatory drug test and background check
