Key Responsibilities:
- Arrive at work punctually as scheduled by the supervisor.
- Repair and overhaul machinery including compressors, water pumps, air handlers, and electrical and mechanical control devices.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components utilizing electrical and mechanical skills.
- Maintain accurate corporate and personal records of work history.
- Conduct general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation systems such as air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machines, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors.
- Perform preventative maintenance; troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and assess the operational efficiency of mechanical systems.
- Engage in minor construction and remodeling tasks, including the startup of new installations.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in commercial refrigeration is required.
- Must achieve a passing score of 80% or higher on the Tek Skills Level 3 test.
- Experience with refrigeration systems in convenience stores or supermarkets is highly advantageous. Familiarity with single systems and rack systems, along with prior work on display cases and walk-in coolers, is beneficial.
- A valid driving record and the ability to work independently are essential.
- Availability for emergency on-call duties is a fundamental requirement.
- Must be capable of lifting up to 60 lbs. without assistance and able to sit or stand for extended periods.
