Job Description

The Havener Eye Institute, Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at The Ohio State University seeks a comprehensive ophthalmologist with ophthalmic hospitalist duties at the assistant professor level or higher. The focus will be on inpatient and emergency department ophthalmologic care, teaching, limited clinical practice, and opportunities for research.

Key Responsibilities
  • Staffing of surgeries generated from clinic
  • Shared call coverage for ocular trauma, including ruptured globes
  • Ophthalmic urgent care service
  • Inpatient bedside procedures and imaging
  • Didactic and clinical training of residents
Requirements
  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • Board certified or board eligible in specialization required
  • State of Ohio and DEA licensure required
