Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (MRI Tech) for an immediate travel assignment in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a reputable healthcare organization and utilize your expertise in MRI imaging.

About the Role:

This position involves working as an MRI Tech, responsible for the use of magnetic resonance imaging equipment and ensuring that images are accurate and passed on to physicians for medical interpretation. You will also be responsible for the preparation of and caring for patients undergoing MRI imaging.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, and explain imaging procedures to patients providing reassurance and support as required
  • Screen patients for MRI safety prior to procedure performance
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions
  • Position patients for MRI scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and to ensure the safety of patients and staff
  • Assist radiologists with procedure performance
  • Start I.V.s, administer contrast media as directed and per protocol
  • Evaluate MRI scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and sequence of exposure and label appropriately
  • Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
  • Follow safety procedures when working with radiation
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Understand and use the McKesson PACS system
Requirements and Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience as an MRI Tech. Additionally, you must possess BLS, ARRT (MR), or ARMRIT National Certification with registration in magnetic resonance imaging, and state-specific licensing when required.

Additional Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
  • Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year

The estimated salary range for this position is based on national averages and takes into account factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. We offer a competitive pay package with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
