As a Nursing Supervisor at JTDMH, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our healthcare services. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate resources to meet the needs of patients, staff, and physicians on a shift basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage human, material, and financial resources to optimize patient care and staff productivity.
- Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff to ensure effective patient placement and throughput.
- Collaborate with department managers to ensure staffing levels align with approved plans and patient acuity.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to promote a positive work environment and support JTDMH's quality, safety, and satisfaction goals.
- Assist in performance appraisals and take corrective action as needed.
- Provide coverage for nursing leadership and the Administrator On-Call to ensure management continuity.
Requirements:
- Possess exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Strong communication, assertiveness, and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- BSN or business-related bachelor's degree highly preferred.
- Valid, unrestricted license to practice professional nursing in the State of Ohio.
- Minimum of 2-3 years recent Acute Care experience.
- ED/Critical Care experience preferred.
- Previous charge or supervisory experience preferred.
