Position Summary:
The role involves executing assigned welding tasks, ensuring the production of high-quality products, adhering to company timelines, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Work Schedule:
This position typically follows a Monday to Thursday schedule from 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime may be required on Fridays and occasionally on Saturdays, generally consisting of shorter workdays.
Compensation:
Hourly Rate: $24.10
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate welding machinery, utilizing wire welding techniques on various steel thicknesses.
- Utilize a range of tools and equipment, including L-tech welders, overhead hoists, grinders, buffers, and shot/sand blasters.
- Interpret blueprints and execute welding tasks according to detailed specifications.
- Fabricate components in alignment with order requirements.
- Ensure proper clamping of welded assemblies to prevent warping.
- Operate hand-held plasma torches, cutting torches, and stud/spot welders.
- Maintain and service welding equipment and tools.
- Accurately complete paperwork related to assignments.
- Adhere to the objectives outlined in the Safety Policy.
Qualifications:
Knowledge: Basic computer skills and familiarity with welding techniques are preferred.
Skills: Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, quality-focused, proficiency in operating hand tools, and basic reading and writing capabilities. Strong interpersonal and time management skills are essential.
Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of welding fabrication processes and the ability to follow work priorities and methods. A strong work ethic, self-motivation, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are crucial.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
