Key Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Buyer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Managing the entire purchasing process, from vendor selection to order fulfillment, in accordance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Identifying and recommending potential vendors to senior management, as well as terminating vendor relationships if necessary.
- Requesting quotes, researching, comparing, and negotiating prices, purchasing terms, and conditions with vendors.
- Coordinating with accounts payable to ensure timely payment of invoices.
- Replenishing inventory in accordance with company minimum and maximum terms, as well as demand requests.
- Monitoring supplier performance and resolving any issues or concerns.
- Acting as the primary vendor contact to address quality issues and resolve supplier deficiencies.
- Managing timely deliveries and resolving any supply chain discrepancies.
- Preparing and maintaining accurate inventory and procurement records and reports.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management.
- Certification in APICS or CPM.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and business applications software, purchasing, and resource planning systems.
