The position of Molecular Biologist-Geneticist Specialist at Avera is a highly rewarding career path for individuals with a passion for genetic research and clinical laboratory science. In this role, you will be responsible for performing DNA and molecular genetic testing in both clinical and research laboratory settings.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or a related field, as well as relevant certification. Experience in modern molecular genetic techniques in a clinical and/or research molecular laboratory is preferred. The successful candidate will be certified as Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Molecular Biology (MB) from the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP) within 18 months of hire.

Key responsibilities include utilizing scientific principles, technical skills, and problem-solving abilities to perform DNA/Molecular genetic testing, quality control, quality assurance, procedure/instrument maintenance, and test result correlation. The hourly range for this position is $27.50-$41.50 per hour, depending on experience.
