Qualifications:

  • Must have completed a Nursing program and hold a current, valid Registered Nurse License for the State of Florida, with a minimum of 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  • 2-4 years of prior experience in Cath Lab Nursing mandatory.
  • 2-4 years of general nursing experience mandatory.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications are required prior to employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a variety of tasks including demonstrating all Cath Lab procedures.
  • Expected to acquire knowledge in Stress Lab procedures, PICC/Midline Insertion, and EKG responsibilities.
  • Possess a strong surgical conscience and awareness of sterile processing protocols.
  • Maintain proficiency in IV Catheter insertion and demonstrate the ability to prepare and administer medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Adhere to AORN standards.
  • Assist in preparing and transporting patients and in maintaining cleanliness in the operating area.
  • Utilize limited experience and judgment to plan and achieve objectives.
  • A degree of creativity and independence is necessary.
  • Rely on limited experience and judgment to strategize and meet goals.
