Job Summary

Ochsner Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Renal Care department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide direct care to patients with renal-related conditions, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct care to patients with renal-related conditions, including IV therapy and medication administration.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing interventions as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current LPN license in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • IV Therapy Credentials (preferred).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Experience working in a renal care setting.
  • Knowledge of renal-related conditions and treatment options.
