As a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with East Ohio LLC, you will administer anesthesia and anesthesia-related care under the orders of a physician, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and comfort. Your expertise will be invaluable in monitoring and supporting vital life functions, acting as the patient's advocate, and participating in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement anesthetic plans of care in collaboration with anesthesiologists, ensuring thorough knowledge of patient medical history, lab values, and studies.
- Perform pre-anesthetic assessments, document patient information, and obtain informed consent.
- Administer anesthesia, monitor patient vital signs, and correct abnormal responses to anesthesia and/or surgery.
- Record all pertinent events during anesthesia, including dosage and duration of anesthetic agents, medications, IV fluids, and blood products.
- Participate in emergency situations, respond to code calls, and maintain knowledge of emergency preparedness procedures.
- Collaborate with the anesthesiologist to develop, implement, and document an anesthetic plan of care, prior to providing anesthesia.
- Document evidence of patient being informed of all risks, potential complications, options, and alternatives to anesthesia.
- Provide safe administration of IV fluids, blood products, medications, narcotics, and document appropriately.
- Adhere to policy of clinical alarms being set appropriately for patient.
- Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
- Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state of Ohio.
- Current and valid APRN/CRNA license in the state of Ohio.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care hospital.
- Knowledge of theory, techniques, and practices of anesthesia management.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS upon hire and maintain current.
Frequent sitting, standing, and walking. Occasional twisting, reaching, grasping, bending, pulling, and pushing. Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds. Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, infections, and ionizing radiation. Occasional requirement to wear Personal Protection Equipment.
