Prince George Freestanding ER Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Prince George Freestanding ER RN to join our team at TriCities Hospital. As a member of our emergency department, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and making a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Prioritize patient care based on acuity level and available resources, carrying out physician orders and assisting physicians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Administer prescribed medications, change dressings, clean wounds, and monitor vital signs.
- Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate, utilizing computerized documentation systems.
- Instruct and educate patients and families, and provide support for new staff through mentoring and orientation.
- One year of experience in emergency services is preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with a Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 days of employment start date.
