Job Summary

The CT Technologist plays a vital role in providing direct patient care by applying the skill of diagnostic imaging utilizing CT scanning equipment. This position requires the ability to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient and procedural data for accuracy.
  • Perform computed tomography procedures, ensuring proper positioning and immobilization of patients.
  • Operate CT scanning equipment, making radiation exposures as needed.
  • Administer radiographic contrast agents and assist with biopsies and drainage procedures.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and timeout as required.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required).
  • Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred).
  • Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred, or must obtain within 2 years).
  • State licensure (preferred).
  • 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred).
