Job Title: Chief Pediatric Perfusionist

Inova Fairfax Medical Campus is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Pediatric Perfusionist to join our team. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary, pay based on experience, and on-call pay. Additionally, we offer a Relocation + Sign-on Bonus for qualified candidates. Responsibilities:

- Ensure the effective and efficient functioning of the pediatric unit and the achievement of optimal patient outcomes.
- Deliver safe, high-quality, and cost-effective perioperative services.
- Serve as the pediatric chief clinical leader and resource for the pediatric perfusion unit while ensuring unit compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and Joint Commission standards.
- Provide direction and guidance to others regarding preoperative services and specialty.
- Collaborate with leadership on pediatric unit participation for emergency preparedness activities.
- Conduct education and coordinate emergency/trauma surgical skill training.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Perfusion technology.
- Five years' experience as a clinical Perfusionist performing complex cases.
- Certified Clinical Perfusionist required upon start.
- Basic Life Support by AHA required upon start.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with both adults and pediatrics cases.
- Previous experience in leadership.

About the Inova Children's Heart Center:

The Inova Children's Heart Center has been established in Northern Virginia for over 30 years, serving patients in Virginia, Maryland, and Washington D.C. We have recently recruited a new chief of pediatric cardiac surgery, and we are expecting an increase in surgical cases to 250 pump cases per year, including complex neonatal operations and single ventricle palliation.
