Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled MII Mechanic to join our team on a night shift basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing new equipment, repairing and modifying existing equipment, and performing routine preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install new equipment and repair/modify existing equipment
  • Dismantle defective machines and equipment and install new or repaired parts
  • Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment
  • Maintain accurate communication with other maintenance mechanics and departments
  • Assist with necessary repairs of equipment, property, and the building
  • Understand basic hydraulic troubleshooting and perform welding (basic) on equipment
  • Understand basic PLC systems and support other maintenance mechanics and operators' basic functions of machinery and equipment
  • Effectively use electrical testing equipment and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Initiate and assist maintenance in completion of work orders and initiate routine preventative maintenance
  • Assist in the investigation of areas for cost reduction method improvement, quality improvement, yield control, and provide suggestions
  • Possess the ability to perform 'back up' lead duties when needed and maintain shop 6S policies and cleanliness
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Demonstrated ability to perform basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and percentage calculations
  • Ability to pass a Prove It test
  • Ability to read and comprehend documents and schematics
  • Five years in maintenance field preferred
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work with minimal or no direct supervision
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude and abilities in order to analyze, evaluate, and solve mechanical problems
  • Experience in the operation of maintenance power tools
  • Knowledge of electrical and mechanical procedures
  • Flexibility to work weekends
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will be required to work on a night shift basis and will be expected to maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that promotes effective and cooperative working relationships with customers, clients, coworkers, and leadership teams.

The starting salary for this position is $27.98 plus a $1.00 shift differential.
