Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Primary Care Physician to join our team at UCSF Fresno and VACCHCS. The selected candidate will serve as a staff physician in the Primary Care Service of the Veterans Affairs Central California Health Care System and be responsible for all aspects of primary care to veteran patients.

The ideal candidate will have a medical degree, board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine, and experience in clinical and teaching academic settings. Proficiency in spoken and written English is essential, and the candidate must be eligible for appointment at the VA.

The selected candidate will participate in clinical, educational, and research programs, including the supervision and teaching of fellows and residents through the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program. They will also be responsible for participating in quality assurance/performance measures, research development, and maintaining internal/external organizational liaisons.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary care services to veteran patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of medical conditions.
  • Supervise and teach fellows and residents in the UCSF Fresno Medical Education Program.
  • Participate in quality assurance/performance measures and research development.
  • Maintain internal/external organizational liaisons and participate in facility-wide committees.

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent).
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
  • Experience in clinical and teaching academic settings.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Eligibility for appointment at the VA.
