Position Summary: The Bartender role at Kingsmill Resort is essential for delivering exceptional guest experiences through the preparation of high-quality beverages, including cocktails, draft beers, and wines. This position requires adherence to established service standards and reporting to a supervisory manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding guest service efficiently and effectively.
  • Adhere to all operational policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Accurately input all food and beverage orders into the POS system; prepare, present, and serve items promptly; process payments while ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Enhance sales through comprehensive menu knowledge and effective suggestive selling.
  • Encourage and train staff in up-selling techniques and wine knowledge.
  • Maintain compliance with beverage service standards.
  • Serve alcoholic beverages responsibly in accordance with established policies.
  • Keep lounge and service areas clean and organized.
  • Ensure workstations are well-stocked and orderly.
  • Collect and accurately manage guest payments.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience in a casual dining setting.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks while maintaining a positive and composed demeanor.
  • Effective communication skills with guests, colleagues, and management.
  • Capacity to quickly absorb extensive information, including service protocols and beverage menus.
  • Familiarity with various brands, selections, and mixology techniques.
  • Proficient in computer systems and ordering processes.
  • Understanding of basic health and sanitation standards.
  • Completion of TIPS alcohol awareness certification required within the first month of employment.
  • Cash handling and credit card processing training must be completed within the first month of employment.
  • Food Handlers Certification is required within the first month of employment.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and perform various physical tasks throughout an 8-hour shift.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
