Physician Medical Director

Concentra is seeking a highly skilled Physician Medical Director to join our team in St. Louis, Missouri. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, leading by example, and creating a positive patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct patient care, leading by example, and creating an exceptional patient experience.
- Ensure day-to-day execution of medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists to drive optimal clinical outcomes and case closure.
- Monitor key clinical center metrics, including quality outcomes, practice indicators, and case closure rates.
- Manage clinicians and support staff, ensuring compliance with APC supervisory requirements.
- Create a professional and collaborative working environment, promoting teamwork, quality, and patient safety.
- Work with DMO to identify and implement changes to ensure continuous clinical improvement.
- Master the use of clinical systems, ensuring efficiency, excellent supportive documentation, and optimal coding levels.
- Ensure compliance with individual State Practice Act/Rules and Regulations/WC Regulations.
- Drive patient and client experience metrics.
- Communicate with employers on all new injuries and other significant clinical changes.
- Board Certification/Eligibility highly preferred.
- Occupational Medicine experience preferred, but we are willing to train otherwise qualified candidates in this area of medicine.
- Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction.
- Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university.
- Unrestricted DEA license for state of jurisdiction.
