Position Overview:
The Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CSA) Cost Engineer will be an integral part of the Estimating department, reporting directly to the Cost Manager or Project Manager. This role involves close collaboration with Construction Managers and Superintendents.

The Cost Engineer will assess project designs and construction documents to identify project requirements, evaluate cost proposals, and generate cost estimates for any scope modifications.

This position is primarily based on the project site.

Salary Range:
$75,000 - $105,000 annually, based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain job cost reports, including budgets, commitments, forecasts, contingencies, and expenditures.
- Monitor costs by bid package, field order, and specific change categories as defined by the client.
- Develop and maintain project indicators, including visual representations.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and suppliers to verify cost proposals.
- Conduct monthly reconciliations of project cost reports.
- Interpret design and construction documents to quantify necessary materials.
- Perform on-screen take-offs of material quantities.
- Prepare and manage cost authorization packages.
- Organize material quantities systematically.

Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams) and familiarity with computer networks.
- Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
- Familiarity with design software like AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
- Training in reading design and construction documents, specifications, and survey techniques.
- Ability to organize technical data accurately.
- Understanding of the CSI specification system for construction.
- Comprehensive knowledge of CSA construction principles.
- Strong visual observation and interpretation skills.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities, even in high-pressure situations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective interpersonal relationships.
- Capacity to work collaboratively with various trades and crafts in a field environment.
- Must be a dedicated team player, capable of working across departments and levels of leadership.

Work Environment:
- The role requires flexibility in work hours to accommodate the dynamic nature of construction schedules.

Professional Experience and Education:
- A minimum of two years of experience in construction estimating is required, with a preference for experience in industrial or high-tech semiconductor manufacturing projects.
- LEED Accreditation is preferred or the ability to obtain it within 18 months.
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
- A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is required, along with relevant field experience.

Physical and Mental Requirements:
- The role involves a combination of standing, walking, and sitting throughout the workday.
- Must be able to climb stairs occasionally.
- Constant use of hands for computer tasks is required.
- Visual acuity for various distances and color perception is necessary.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.
