Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Safety and Training Coordinator to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Batavia, Ohio. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for cultivating a safety culture, ensuring the safety of our associates, and promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cultivate Safety Culture
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date OSHA logs
    • Conduct regular safety audits and incident/accident investigations
    • Develop and implement effective safety training programs
  • Ensure Associate Safety
    • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits
    • Develop and implement effective safety procedures and protocols
    • Provide training and guidance to associates on safety procedures and protocols
  • Develop and Implement Training Programs
    • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for all departments
    • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops
    • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Regulatory Compliance
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements
    • Develop and implement effective compliance programs
    • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance

Requirements

  • Education
    • College degree in a relevant field (e.g. occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, etc.)
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in a safety and training role
  • Skills
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and guidelines
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations for improvement

Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels. The successful candidate will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all safety protocols and procedures.
