Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Obstetrics team on a part-time basis. As an Obstetrics Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care, coordinate care planning with other disciplines, and act as a supervisor to ensure the provision of excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care within the Obstetrics unit, prioritizing patient needs and ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Coordinates care planning with other disciplines, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals.
- Acts as a supervisor, assessing, planning, delegating, and utilizing independent judgment in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care.
- Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals and improve patient outcomes.
- Participates in hourly rounding to ensure patient needs are met and satisfaction is high.
- Observes safety guidelines and safe work practices, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- May be asked to be in charge for a shift(s), supervising other members of the healthcare team.
Requirements
- Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- License to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Arizona.
- CPR certification.
- ACLS certification as applicable by Facility/by Department.
- Minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience, including neonatal ventilator.
- Preferred experience: 1 year of acute care experience, certification in specialty area of practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSN degree.
- Experience in CVICU or ICU or Min 2 years in Cardiac Stepdown.
