Kitchen Steward

Are you passionate about maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment? We're looking for a dedicated Kitchen Steward to join our team at Allen Courtyard. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring that all kitchen equipment, food storage areas, and utensils are clean and sanitized to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize all kitchen equipment, food storage areas, walk-in fridges, freezers, ovens, and dry storage cupboards;
• Clean, sanitize, and store dishes, glasses, utensils, and other kitchen equipment in the designated areas;
• Hand-wash pots, pans, and trays per the prescribed standard;
• Manage trash and garbage (including separating), clean cans, and maintain loading dock;
• Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas;
• Complete regular sanitization/disinfection of all kitchen and food and beverage work areas that include flooring, storerooms, prep areas, buffets, dining tables, and equipment;
• Assist with food dish-up, set-up sheets, and set-up and break-down for various events;
• Any and all other work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position.

Requirements:

• Prior related experience;
• High School diploma or equivalent;
• Food Safety certificate or complete training during initial 90 days;
• ServSafe certification (preferred);
• Ability to lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds regularly;
• Ability to bend and squat repeatedly;
• Ability to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift.
