Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant - Care Partner to join our team at Wellstar North Fulton Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse, focusing on promoting a positive patient experience and partnering with the healthcare team to deliver excellent care.
  • Assist with daily living activities, comfort measures, and other patient care needs, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and physical comfort measures.
  • Perform basic patient care functions, such as ADLs, ambulation, and vital signs, and assist with advanced skills as required, including phlebotomy, EKG, removal of foley catheters, and removal of IVs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, family, and visitors, using AIDET (Acknowledge, Introduce, Duration, Explain, Thank you) and safety communication techniques.
  • Document patient care in the EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and communicate patient care concerns or emergencies to the RN or Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
  • Participate in hourly patient rounding, resolve patient concerns, and offer assistance and comfort measures to patients and families.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; graduation from a State-approved program for Certified Nursing Assistants or Patient Care Tech Program preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed directions, work individually and as part of a team, and communicate effectively with patients, staff, and families.
