Executive Vice President for Research and Innovation

The University of Louisville is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the next Executive Vice President for Research and Innovation (EVPRI). Reporting to the President, the EVPRI will work collaboratively with the Executive Vice President and University Provost and the Executive Vice President for Health Affairs to align research with the university's overall academic mission as a Carnegie R1, community engaged institution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop institutional research policies and procedures
  • Coordinate and provide oversight of research, scholarship, and creative activity
  • Define emerging research opportunities
  • Lead the university in achieving the goals of its research and economic development agenda

The successful candidate will possess national distinction as a scholar, research/practitioner, and educator with the accomplishments expected for appointment as a tenured full professor at the University of Louisville, along with substantial administrative leadership experience in a research university or comparable setting.
