Blythe Development Co is a leading general contractor specializing in site work, road construction, and golf course construction in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Virginia. We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team.
Job Summary
A Concrete Finisher performs tasks involving strenuous physical labor on highway and heavy construction projects. The successful candidate will operate a variety of hand and power tools, clean and prepare sites, set forms, spread, level, and smooth concrete.
Responsibilities
- Regularly works near moving machinery/tools which requires good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination, must be able to move quickly and have excellent stamina.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects (over 50 lbs.), use legs, hips, shoulders, abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and climb a ladder
- Experience setting string line for concrete
Requirements
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a clean and secure job site. Must ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed and bring any problems to the attention of a Supervisor.
