Position: Technical Project Manager for New Product Introduction (NPI)
Duration: 5 Plus Months
Job Responsibilities:
The selected candidate will play a crucial role in steering engineering projects and establishing scalable processes. You will collaborate with engineering managers to oversee and provide insights into the engineering infrastructure and services roadmap, manage budgets, headcount, and communicate risks to key stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating timelines and integrations for new product launches.
- Developing and implementing new processes, recommending tools, or optimizing existing workflows.
- Engaging with a variety of technical and non-technical teams across all organizational levels, including executives.
- Working closely with software and hardware teams to ensure complete product integration.
- Managing technical projects or programs, including the development and oversight of milestones, schedules, and budgets.
- Identifying risks and issues, and formulating mitigation strategies within a cross-functional engineering team.
- Utilizing strong communication skills to articulate project strategies, engineering challenges, and dependencies.
- Overseeing parts ordering and forecasting.
- Managing the complete asset lifecycle for projects.
- Assisting with data center capacity planning.
- Coordinating deployment schedules for R&D equipment across multiple locations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated technical aptitude through relevant education or experience in technical/quantitative fields.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years in project management.
- A strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate effectively with technical management teams.
- A collaborative team player and innovative thinker capable of leading technical teams and cross-functional groups.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, along with a solid understanding of product lifecycle.
- Proficiency in managing competing priorities and swiftly addressing major issues across team boundaries.
- Familiarity with data center operations is advantageous.
