The Assembly Technician is responsible for installing parts on production equipment properly, timely, safely, and efficiently using bills of material and blueprints. This role inspects the material and parts for any deficiencies and makes sure that all are corrected before installing and completing assembly.
Key Responsibilities:- Safe and Proper Use of Tools: Safely and properly use various hand/air/power tools to assemble and install equipment.
- Quality Control: Properly identify and inspect all parts for defects to ensure quality products and inspect all connections to ensure they are properly sealed.
- Assembly and Installation: Assemble NPT connections, thread pipe, bolt up flanges in piping spool runs, and inspect all connections to ensure they are properly sealed.
- Documentation: Properly identify and document parts/components and perform inspections to assure equipment meets quality standards.
- Deficiency Correction: Assure deficiencies are corrected as needed and perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: One to three years of related work experience and/or training, with experience in threading pipe, assembling NPT connections, and flange bolt up.
- Skills: Must be experienced in the use of various hand/air/power tools, able to read and understand PIDs and blueprints, and possess mechanical aptitude and basic math skills.
- Communication: Effective oral and written communication skills and ability to frequently bend and stoop, climb ladders, and perform physical labor.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for extended periods and exert moderate to heavy physical effort with a minimum lifting requirement of up to 50 pounds.
