- As a Cardiovascular Technician, you will play a vital role in the healthcare team, focusing on procedures related to heart health.
- Your responsibilities will include assisting in catheter insertions and managing the administration of specialized fluids.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely transfer stable patients to recovery areas after procedures.
- Support the cleaning, maintenance, setup, and testing of electrophysiology lab equipment.
- Provide information and answer inquiries from patients and their families before procedures.
- Monitor EKG readings and promptly report any abnormalities to the supervising physician.
- Inspect and test EKG machinery prior to patient interventions.
- Prepare patients for procedures through necessary preparations such as cleaning and shaving.
- Administer anesthesia to the insertion site for angioplasty procedures.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
- Telemetry Certification or the ability to obtain it.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a Cardiac Catheterization Technician.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
