Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician PRN to join our team at Emory Healthcare. As a Pharmacy Technician PRN, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacy staff in providing patient-centered medication management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procure, prepare, package, and distribute prescription drugs and pharmaceutical supplies under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Maintain accurate IV records and patient profiles, and manufacture and prepare sterile products.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Individuals with experience and not certified may be hired contingent on achieving certification within one year of employment.
  • Certification must be maintained through continuing education requirements for continued employment.
  • Certification as a pharmacy technician by completion of an accredited technician training program, by national exam, or current enrollment in an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Demonstrates mathematical skills required to calculate and prepare dilutions, reconstitutions, and compounded products.
Working Conditions

This position requires occasional to frequent standing and walking, occasional sitting, and close eye work. Environmental exposures include blood-borne pathogen exposure, bio-hazardous waste, chemicals, gases, fumes, and vapors. Personal protective equipment, including respirators, may be required.
