Staff Trainer

This role is responsible for the continuous evaluation, organization, and planning of Kalix's in-service training programs. The employee will review and implement procedures to assess the effectiveness of training efforts, ensuring compliance with State and other regulatory requirements.

The Staff Trainer will work under the supervision of the Training Administrator and be responsible for the following key functions:

Key Responsibilities:
1. Complete training requirements within the first month of employment to become a Certified Regional Staff Trainer through the ND Developmental Disabilities Curriculum.
2. Track and coordinate training to ensure Kalix staff meet all State and other regulatory training requirements.
3. Assess training needs for both Kalix and MVAW services, developing training materials to diverse learning styles and needs of employees.
4. Schedule and coordinate training sessions, delivering training using a variety of instructional methods to meet different learner needs.
5. Evaluate training effectiveness and share feedback with the Training Administrator, maintaining accurate and up-to-date training records.
6. Submit monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to the State Training Director and Training Administrator, participating in revision or developing new modules for use in the statewide training system.
7. Participate in the onboarding and training of all new staff, performing other duties assigned or required.

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in special education or a related field, with 3-5 years of related experience. Strong understanding of developmental and intellectual disabilities, knowledge of teaching principles, methods, and tools. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail, ability to create and adapt materials to train staff effectively. Ability to motivate staff to gain knowledge that will drive client outcomes, work independently and manage time effectively. Strong verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to both small and large groups.
