Tax Manager - Remote/Hybrid

The Tax Manager will oversee and direct various functions within the tax practice area, ensuring the delivery of high-quality tax services to clients. Acting as a strategic advisor, the Tax Manager will focus on enhancing client engagement and achieving superior outcomes. This role involves executing tax services in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, fostering client relationships to offer exceptional planning, consulting, and expertise, as well as managing innovative tax planning initiatives. The Tax Manager will review intricate income tax returns, identify potential tax risks, oversee the tax provision and compliance processes, propose innovative solutions for process enhancements utilizing best practices, coordinate tax audits, and monitor tax balances on the general ledger. Regular preparation of tax documentation and management of information data requests will also be key responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide a comprehensive range of tax services in adherence to laws and regulations within designated timelines
- Cultivate relationships and engage with clients to deliver outstanding planning, consulting, and expertise
- Offer innovative tax planning and evaluate complex income tax returns
- Recognize and mitigate tax risks
- Supervise accounting personnel and evaluate their performance
- Oversee tax provision and compliance processes
- Enhance processes by developing or implementing best practices
- Coordinate and manage tax audits
- Maintain tax balances on the general ledger
- Regularly prepare all tax documentation and manage information data requests

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, taxation, finance, business, or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Demonstrated experience as a tax manager, public accountant, or in a similar capacity
- In-depth knowledge of tax accounting, compliance, and various types of tax returns
- Proven track record in delivering a full spectrum of tax services in compliance with laws and regulations within established timelines
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects
- Proficiency in tax software and MS Office
- Capability to identify opportunities for expanding the company's client base
