Incentives:

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a sign-on bonus of up to $45,000 for eligible applicants. The bonus amount may vary based on shift and experience. Additionally, a relocation bonus is available for those who relocate to Dayton. Returning employees must not have been employed by Kettering Health for the last 6 months prior to rehire.

Our campus, Kettering Health Dayton, has been providing care to Dayton and surrounding communities for over 90 years. We offer a wide range of specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services. Our expanded Emergency Department and heart & vascular services include an additional catheterization lab and electrophysiology lab.

We partner with Gem City Market to provide fresh fruits and vegetables every Tuesday within the hospital. As one of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the United States, we offer a unique learning environment for our students. Our 371-bed facility is equipped to provide comprehensive care to our patients.

We have received numerous awards, including the Top 100 Hospital and the Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2019. We have also received an A from the Leapfrog Group, ranking among the safest hospitals in the United States.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

The Registered Nurse utilizes the nursing process in providing nursing care to patients in all settings in collaboration with other healthcare providers. The RN is accountable for their own professional development and practice within the scope of care defined by law.

The RN acts as a patient advocate for the delivery of safe care, including delegation of care and participation in performance and practice improvement activities. The delivery of nursing care within the Kettering Health Network reflects the missions, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and nursing departments.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a current license in the state of Ohio as a Registered Nurse. Graduates of an accredited school of nursing are also eligible to apply. A Bachelor of Science in nursing is preferred, but not required. BLS certification is also required.

ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are determined by unit scope of practice. A nurse who is returning to the acute care setting after five or more years may be required to provide evidence of successful completion of a refresher course.
