Optometrist

KurzSolutions is seeking a skilled Optometrist to join our team at the Acoma-Canoncito-Laguna Service Unit (ACLSU). As an Optometrist, you will provide professional medical services and direct patient care in an outpatient setting.

• Diagnose and treat visual and ocular problems through external and internal physical examination of the eye and adnexa.
• Detect neuromuscular impairment or anomalies of binocular function.
• Treat visual disorders through prescription of corrective lenses and pharmacological means.
• Perform minor surgical procedures, including anterior segment foreign body removal, corneal debridement, and suture removal.
• Provide emergency eye care services on an outpatient basis.
• Coordinate medical eye care with other physicians as appropriate.

• Completed Optometry Residency Program with a minimum of six months experience.
• Board-Eligible or Board-Certified with the National Board of Examiners in Optometry.
• Current, valid, unrestricted license in any State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a Territory of the United States.
• Valid and current CPR and BLS certifications.
