Job Summary

BAE Systems is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Services Supervisor to join our team in Jacksonville, Florida. As a key member of our Ship Repair Division, you will be responsible for supervising and overseeing the electrical services team to ensure the successful completion of assigned work safely, within budget, and on time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the electrical services team to ensure the completion of assigned work safely, within budget, and on time.
  • Review project schedules and budgets to ensure alignment with company goals.
  • Control labor and materials to optimize resource allocation.
  • Ensure that assigned production work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Participate in the planning process to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Direct personnel and assign work accordingly to meet project objectives.
  • Ensure skill level of personnel meets job requirements.
  • Ship check and estimate work as required.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Complete other job duties as directed by the Department Manager.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in shipyard trade experience, with a focus on electrical services.
  • Must have a thorough knowledge of generators, transformers, and AC and DC power.
  • Must be capable of properly setting up and using electrical test equipment.
  • Must be able to read and interpret wiring diagrams.
  • Must demonstrate a thorough understanding of general electrical and marine electrical concepts.
  • Knowledge and understanding of NAVSEA specifications and NAVSEA Standard items, USCG, ABS, OSHA standards, and other marine guidelines.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors under all weather conditions.
  • Physically and medically qualified to wear required personal protective equipment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Responds positively and decisively in normal and emergency situations.
  • Ensures compliance to all environmental, health, and safety policies and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and understanding of operating and maintaining temporary electric, fire-main, negative exhaust, lighting, and gas manifolds.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of general electrical and marine electrical concepts.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $71,600 - $121,700
