Medical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality laboratory testing and diagnostic services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform a variety of laboratory tests and procedures, including hematology, clinical chemistry, blood bank, serology, coagulation, urinalysis, and microbiology.
- Conduct complex analysis of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and their results.
- Receive and process specimens, and maintain accurate records of test results.
- Troubleshoot and resolve instrument problems, and perform instrumentation repairs as needed.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Train new employees and students in laboratory procedures and techniques.
- Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Biological, Chemical, and/or Physical Science.
- Previous experience as a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Scientist is preferred.
- Registry/Licensure in a specialty area is preferred.
- Continuing education to maintain registry/licensure is required.
