We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to serve as the Associate Program Director for Ambulatory Education in our Combined Internal Medicine-Pediatrics Residency Program. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of our residents and contributing to the advancement of medical education.
Responsibilities:- Teaching and Curriculum Development: Collaborate with the Program Director and chief residents to design and implement the ambulatory curriculum, ensuring it meets ACGME requirements for combined training.
- Leadership: Work closely with categorical IM, Pediatrics, and Med-Peds programs to ensure seamless coordination and collaboration.
- Accreditation: Ensure that ambulatory time meets ACGME requirements for combined training.
- Residency Recruitment: Collaborate with the Program Director and APD for Inpatient Education on recruitment of students to the residency program.
- Mentorship: Serve as a primary mentor for Med-Peds residents and provide guidance and support to residents interested in ambulatory generalist practice.
- MD or DO or equivalent clinical degree
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
- Meet the criteria for academic appointment at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine
