Key Responsibilities:

As a Lead Survey Technician at RQ Construction, you will need to demonstrate expertise in land surveying methods, civil site design principles, and proficiency in AutoCAD software, as well as topographic and location mapping tools. The ideal candidate will have a solid grasp of surveying techniques, be skilled in using industry-standard software, and possess the ability to develop detailed site plans utilizing AutoCAD. Essential attributes for success in this role include meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of an AAS in Land Surveying or a BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Forestry, or a related field is required.
  • At least three (3) years of experience as a lead survey instrument operator is essential, with additional experience in building and land surveying and construction stakeout preferred.
  • Experience with specific civil site design and survey equipment, along with mastery of software (ACAD v2017 or higher) is required; candidates should demonstrate the ability and willingness to engage in continuous learning.
  • Licensure as a Surveyor-In-Training and/or relevant Surveyor/Geomatics certifications are advantageous.
  • General computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, Internet, etc.) is necessary.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites is required.
