About the Position
We're seeking an experienced Information Security professional to serve as our Candidate Title: Chief Information Security Officer. As a key member of our senior management team, you'll play a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of our information security program. Your expertise will help ensure the protection of our students', faculty's, and staff's sensitive data, while also advancing our commitment to innovation and progress.
Responsibilities
You'll lead information security planning processes to establish an inclusive and comprehensive information security program for the entire institution. You'll also oversee the office of IT Security & Compliance and staff, examining impacts of new technologies on NCCU's overall information security. Your responsibilities will include developing, implementing, and administering technical security standards, as well as a suite of security services and tools to address and mitigate security risk.
Requirements and Qualifications
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Management Information Science or other related field and/or an advanced degree. Professional certification such as CISSP or CCISO is highly desirable. The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
