Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Underwriter to join our team at CRC Group. As an Underwriter, you will be responsible for underwriting new and renewal business, approving policy changes, and maintaining a high level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite new and renewal business in a fast-paced call center environment
  • Approve or deny policy changes in accordance with company guidelines and procedures
  • Maintain a high level of customer service and professionalism
  • Meet or exceed production goals as assigned by management
  • Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and agencies
  • Market and promote CRC Group's insurance products and services
  • Provide training and support to support staff on handling cancellations and non-renewals
  • Review inspection reports and take appropriate action
  • Maintain necessary licenses and certifications to produce business
Requirements
  • Licensed in corresponding areas of insurance or willing to obtain necessary licenses
  • Ability to understand and analyze complex insurance policies
  • Ability to understand client needs and risk profiles
  • Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
  • Ability to use company automation systems, including Windows, Word, Excel, and TAPSYS
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and provide leadership
  • Ability to maintain current knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Good written and verbal skills
  • Good telephone communication skills and phone etiquette
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant insurance designation
  • Three years of experience in production and marketing of new accounts
Benefits
