About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Care Specialist to join our team at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will provide exceptional patient care in an ambulatory clinic setting, working closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless care delivery. This role involves caring for patients with acute and chronic needs, responding to patient care needs, and performing various tasks such as EKG duties, wound care, and specimen collection.

Responsibilities
  1. Care for patients with acute and chronic needs in an ambulatory clinic setting.
  2. Respond to patient care needs by answering call lights, assisting patients with hygiene care, obtaining vital signs, and communicating effectively with the care team.
  3. Perform 12-lead EKG duties commensurate with the level of training received and competency.
  4. Apply, check, and document restraints as directed by the RN or physician.
  5. Perform wound care, stoma care, and specimen collection.
  6. Assist with patient transfers, admissions, and discharges as directed and in compliance with safe patient handling principles.
  7. Order and maintain office and patient care floor stock/supplies.
  8. Perform unit secretary duties, including maintaining patient charts, responding to phone calls, and providing accurate information about the patient.
Requirements
  • Successful completion of an accredited nursing assistant training program.
  • Certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of practice.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval.
  • 1+ years of previous experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
Salary and Benefits

The hourly range for this position is $17.60 - $22.88 per hour, depending on experience.
