Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Lead Software Engineer to become a vital part of our team. In this position, you will play a key role in crafting and deploying solutions tailored to our clients' needs. You will also be tasked with transforming Proof-of-Concepts provided by our reverse engineering team into viable products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the principal developer within a small, driven team
  • Utilize your expertise in Linux/Unix systems to tackle complex mission-related challenges
  • Advance proof-of-concept research and development technologies into operational solutions
  • Support reverse engineering efforts and troubleshoot relevant Linux applications
  • Guide junior developers in strategies and methodologies for capability development
  • Lead the implementation of Agile methodologies and Lean-Agile practices within the team
  • Engage in technical discussions with transition partners and essential stakeholders

Essential Qualifications:

  • Active US Security clearance at the Top Secret level, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and Polygraph
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience with Unix kernel internals, including access controls, runtime linking/loading, object file formats, file systems, and process/thread APIs & data structures
  • At least 8 years of experience in network socket programming and a deep understanding of IP, TCP, and other application-level protocols
  • Proven experience in developing applications using C/C++ and Python
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment
  • Familiarity with at least one modern automation framework, preferably Ansible
  • Knowledge of memory protection mechanisms (ASLR/DEP, etc.)
  • Experience with code execution tracing using debuggers (WinDbg/gdb/IDAPro)
  • Willingness to work at Two Six headquarters with a flexible schedule

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) from Scrum Alliance
  • Experience with testing, CI/CD pipelines, and virtual machine testing environments
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git or GitLab)
  • Experience in firmware/driver development across Linux, Windows, or embedded systems
  • Ability to identify and analyze vulnerabilities in complex software applications
  • Capability to quickly understand unfamiliar codebases
  • Experience leading a team of junior and mid-level developers

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active US Security clearance at the Top Secret level, with the ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI and Polygraph
