Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-award and ongoing audits and inspections, managing intricate requirements for vendor and supplier certifications, verifications, and documentation.
  • Engage in price negotiations and cost assessments, employing suitable price analysis techniques to determine Fair and Reasonable pricing.
  • Generate procurement or project management reports that support strategic objectives, conceptualizing, developing, and executing business solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, regulatory standards, contract stipulations, and other performance metrics.
  • Document, maintain, and initiate purchase requisition paperwork for the acquisition of goods.
  • Investigate and identify components and materials from electronic equipment vendors, entering relevant data into the procurement database.
  • Assess supply needs based on authorization documents or bills of materials.
  • Maintain both manual and automated records for requisition processes.
  • Keep accurate records, ensuring thorough documentation and filing practices.
  • Work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a larger team environment.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:

  • Proven experience in procurement and related functions, with a focus on traditional procurement initiation and administration requirements.
  • Experience in evaluating vendor and supplier qualifications.
  • Familiarity with various Price Analysis Techniques.
  • Understanding of business and contract law, FAR, DFARS, along with a solid grasp of finance and accounting principles.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio) and SharePoint. Ability to obtain a security clearance if necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in commercial or government sectors, fulfillment, or parts room environments, coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, with a keen attention to detail and critical decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with Government Procurement systems (e.g., PeopleSoft).
  • Experience with MRP Systems.
